Hello, and welcome to Brooke Newman’s personal portfolio. Brooke is completing a dual degree program at Arizona State University. She graduated summa cum laude in the Spring of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Minor in Justice Studies. She will graduate with her Masters of Mass Communication in the Spring of 2022. This year, she is completing her honors thesis exploring mass communication law at Barrett, The Honors College. Most recently, Brooke worked as a social justice reporter in Washington, D.C. for Cronkite News and Arizona PBS. Other professional experience entails working at the Arizona Republic, AZBigMedia, and The State Press, as well as interning for a local non-profit called Court Appointed Special Advocates. She is an eager and driven journalist who is passionate about her work and service learning.
